The Silver Food fish processing plant, one of the most modern canneries in the world, will soon open its facility in Casablanca, Morocco. The factory will mainly pack mackerel, sardine and tuna. The total production capacity will amount to 45 000 tonnes per year.
The cannery will be equipped with a Taifun vacuum system including seven suction points. The installation is capable of transporting about two tonnes of fish waste per hour. The piping is equipped with a self-cleaning system for high-level of hygiene. Hygiene is also improved by the fact that there is no cross contamination between the clean and soiled operations.
